The International Museum Day 2013.

The International Museum Day 2013 was celebrated in Baghdad with the inauguration, by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Liwaa Sumaisem and Ambassador of Italy Massimo Marotti, of the second largest Assyrian gallery of the National Museum of Iraq, restored with the scientific and financial Italian support.

The new layout of the Gallery, which houses the Royal Palace winged bulls and Nimrud ivories, is one of the actions for the recovery of the Museum carried out by Italy after the damages suffered during 2003 plunder.
