MISSION TO THE GOVERNORATE OF ANBAR (RAMADI, FALLUJAH, 13 JANUARY 2026)

On 13 January, Ambassador Niccolò Fontana travelled to Ramadi and Fallujah, where he held meetings with local Authorities and tribal leaders. As the first official visit by an Italian Ambassador to the Governorate of Anbar, the mission provided an opportunity to explore avenues for cooperation in the political, economic and cultural spheres, and to further strengthen the profound bonds of friendship between Italy and Iraq.
