The Embassy of Italy in Baghdad is pleased to highlight the upcoming Iraq Energy Conference (IEC 2026), scheduled for 28–29 January 2026 at the Mövenpick Hotel, Baghdad.
Held under the patronage of the Iraqi Prime Minister, this event takes place at a decisive moment as Iraq strives to consolidate its role in the global and regional energy landscape while progressing toward diversification, sustainability, and long-term resilience.

IEC 2026 serves as a strategic platform bringing together policymakers, global energy leaders, financial institutions, private-sector actors, and development partners for open dialogue, innovative solutions, and long-term partnerships.
Discussions will focus on strengthening Iraq’s energy transition, improving water security, stimulating investment, and advancing economic integration across the region.
