Acting in favor of Christian minorities in Iraq, through inclusive education for minors, professional training for youth and psychological support for victims of violence: this is the goal of the Fondazione Giovanni Paolo II project “Involving! Ensuring inclusive, equitable and quality education in Baghdad, with a focus on human rights and building resilience for persecuted minorities “, funded by the Italian Cooperation. Accompanied by the Archbishop of Baghdad, Msgr. Jean-Benjamin Sleiman, and by the Director of Caritas Iraq, Nabil Nissan, Ambassador Maurizio Greganti this morning visited the St Joseph School in Baghdad, redeveloped with the contribution of the project funds, and the Brotherhood of Charity Center, where professional training and psychological rehabilitation activities were organized in partnership with Caritas Iraq. An important testimony of the Italian commitment to dialogue and reconciliation in Iraq, with particular attention to strengthening resilience and improving the quality of life for the population through the restoration of services and structures of the education and professional training system.
