The new Ambassador of Italy to Iraq, Marco Carnelos, makes his first meetings with some of the leading representatives of the Iraqi institutions.

The new Ambassador of Italy to Baghdad, Marco Carnelos, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Masoum last June 21st.

The Ambassador thanked the first charge of the state, noting that Italy is in the forefront of efforts Dae’sh against and in favor of the stabilization and national reconciliation in Iraq. In the following meetings of presentation to the Iraqi Authorities, including talks with the Speaker of the House of Representatives Jubouri, the Vice President of the Republic Nujaifi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jaafari, Ambassador Carnelos renewed the promise of commitment and support of Italy to the country, hoping that all national components manifest a keen commitment to work together, the only real way to make even more effective international assistance to the Iraqi people.
