On 20th August, the closing ceremony of the first session of Iraqi Police training took place in Baghdad. The training session was carried out by the Carabinieri Task Force, that are part of the Military Command of anti-Daesh Coalition, of which Italy is a member.
The Commandant of the Coalition in Iraq, US Army General Clarke of 82nd Airborne Division, the General in charge for the Iraqi Federal Police training, Hatim, and the Chargé d’affaires Cons. Patrick Mura took part at the ceremony hosted by the Commandant of the Carabinieri Task Force. The training activity started in June was a complete success.
Italy has a leading role in the framework of the workgroup on stabilization in liberated areas from Daesh, in which the Iraqi police forces training activity is included.
