On July 10th the Ambassador of Italy to Iraq, Maurizio Greganti, was received by the President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid, for cordial talks following his first State Visit to Italy in June. In this regard, President Rashid renewed his gratitude to the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, for the warm welcome he received, noting that “the visit was fruitful and will contribute to consolidating the prospects for work at various levels.” Confirming that Italy intends to deepen the great friendship with Iraq, Ambassador Greganti reiterated the commitment to support the security and stability of the country and the welfare of its people, as well as the will to continue working to develop dialogue in the political, economic, and cultural fields.
