Italy is gaining ground internationally in the involvement of young people in tackling climate change. In this framework, the “Youth4Climate” (Y4C) initiative aims at encouraging the active participation of the younger generation in climate negotiations, launching an innovative financing tool for projects submitted by young people from vulnerable countries.
The “Call for Solutions” has been launched again this year, open from Feb. 26 to May 26. The initiative is addressed to young people aged 18 to 29 who wish to submit project proposals in the following thematic areas:
1) Climate and Environmental Literacy;
2) Sustainable Energy;
3) Food and Agriculture;
4) Nature Assets;
5) Sustainable Consumption and Production.
This year’s call for proposals allows proposals to be submitted in three languages – English, French and Spanish – and provides a financial contribution of $30,000 for each winning project.
