Interested parties will have until 20 September 2024 to submit the necessary documentation
The Italian Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, authorized the publication of the expression of interest in the acquisition of the assets and business activities of Ilva in Extraordinary Administration (EA) and Acciaierie d’Italia in EA, as well as of the other companies belonging to their respective groups. These include Ilva Servizi Marittimi SpA, Ilvaform SpA, Taranto Energia Srl, Socova Sas, Adi Energia Srl, Adi Servizi Marittimi Srl, Adi Tubiforma Srl and Adi Socova Sas.
The notice, signed by the extraordinary commissioners of Ilva in EA (Danovi, Di Ciommo and Savi) and by the commissioners of AdI in EA (Flors, Quaranta and Tabarelli), will be published on the websites https://www.gruppoacciaierieditaliainas.it and https://www.gruppoilvainas.it, in Italian and English.
Among the objectives of the procedure are the development of steel production in Italy, the execution of environmental protection measures aimed at reducing CO2 emissions and the commitment to the decarbonization of production processes, in accordance with the requirements of national and European legislation. In addition, the protection of employment levels is envisaged, with the aim of significantly reducing the use of social shock absorbers, while maintaining a constant dialogue with the trade unions and Authorities.
The sale procedure also aims to provide activities and forms of compensation in favor of local communities and to preserve the continuity of the company’s business complexes in EA, with the aim of bringing them back quickly to the highest levels of activity.
The guidelines of the call were illustrated during the meetings with the trade unions at Palazzo Chigi, on 24 July, and in Taranto, last 26 July, in the meetings that Minister Urso had with the local authorities, mayor and president of the Region, parliamentarians and regional councilors, trade unions and representatives of the companies, receiving the indications emerged on those occasions.
A new invitation to express interest will also be published for the acquisition of all the business complexes of Sanac in EA at the plants of Assemini (CA), Gattinara (VC), Massa (MS) and Vado Ligure (SV), jointly understood.
