This Commercial Office has received several reports from various Italian companies regarding fraudulent activities carried out by two alleged government institutions, specifically:
- IIPRCO – Iraq Infrastructural Project & Reconstruction Contract Office (Mr. Ammar Hamad – ammarhamad@cbiiq.org)
- IRRCC – Iraqi Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Contracting Commission (Mr. Idrak Fazl-Faziuddin – idrak.fazi@irrcc.com)
These appear to be part of a likely scam operation that exploits the names of certain contracting offices that were active in the early years of the post-Saddam Hussein era, and which were gradually shut down over time.
Companies that may have been contacted are therefore advised to exercise the utmost caution, not to respond to any requests contained in these emails, and to avoid any further contact with the aforementioned entities.
