COMBATING CLIMATE CHANGE AND YOUTH PARTICIPATION – YOUTH4CLIMATE 2025 CALL FOR SOLUTIONS

Call4

The third edition of the “Call for Solutions” is now open, as part of the Youth4Climate initiative, continuing the collaboration launched in 2021 between the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Since its launch, the program has received over 3,000 proposals from young innovators in more than 120 countries and has funded 100 projects in 52 countries, with a special focus on inclusion (50% led by women) and Africa (47% of the projects).

The call, aimed at young people aged 18 to 29 from vulnerable countries, offers an opportunity to propose creative and effective solutions to address climate change challenges.

This year, in order to strengthen the connection with COP30 in Brazil, proposals can be submitted via the dedicated online platform from 26 February to 26 May 2025 in four languages – English, French, Spanish and Portuguese – focusing on the following thematic areas:

  1. Sustainable Energy – Promote access to clean energy and innovation in the sector.
  2. Food and Agriculture – Support climate-resilient agricultural practices.
  3. Climate and Health – Address the implications of climate change on public health.
  4. Digital for the Planet – Use digital technologies to strengthen climate resilience.
  5. Climate, Peace, and Security – Reinforce climate action in conflict-affected regions.
  6. Nature – Promote nature-based solutions for climate adaptation and mitigation.

Each winning project will receive a financial grant of $30,000.
